Painting the Town Red

We started today with an in-house photo shoot of the kids for this year's Christmas card. The slide show to the right has some of the not-so-useful shots. They're still good for a laugh.

We went to the movies afterwards to see Enchanted. I think it was a little too much for Carmellina but Rosemary and I certainly enjoyed it. We had the entire theater to ourselves. I guess with the public schools still in session there aren't too many people making it to an afternoon showing of a movie. We had our own private screening!

Since tonight is our Christmas Eve we went out for a festive dinner at Friendly's. One burger and a cookies-n-cream shake later and my stomach is singing the blues! Oh well.

Time now for Jess and I to start wrapping presents and then start filling out the dreaded Christmas cards!

Dinner Party

Our Christmas dinner party went off pretty well. Jess made a delicious sauce with turkey meatballs and ravioli. We had salad and Italian bread. I made hot buttered rum for the guys. It smelled awesome but tasted like dirty dish water. I think I need to work on my recipe.



The kids played well together. I always feel bad for Thomas when he's here because we have primarily girl-toys until Joey gets older.

How I spent my Christmas Vacation

So Jess and I were sitting around this morning and I said to myself, "Self, we're not busy enough. Let's start a family blog!" My self thought this was a lousy idea, but Jess thought it was great. So here goes. The first official post on the Sinagra family blog site!

We're getting ready for a dinner party tonight. I spent about 2 1/2 hours running to two supermarkets and a liquor store to buy everything we need to get ready. (The warped image to the right is an example of what happens when you move a camera phone as you take a photo...should've stood still.)













Anyway, right now Carmellina is napping,



baby Joey is pooping,

and Rosemary is getting into a dress for tonight.

Jess is finishing the laundry, changing Joey and trying to finish the sauce for tonight's dinner...oh, and maintain her sanity as well!

I need to clean up the dining room, shave, and figure out how to make buttered rum. I'll probably use drinkmixer.com. They have a recipe for every drink you can imagine...and some you don't want to imagine.

All of this is to say that I'd better get busy. But I'll post plenty of pics from tonight's dinner later!
